Dornelas is a municipality ( freguesia ) in Portugal .

In addition to Dornelas itself, the two localities Colherinhas and Porto de Aguiar belong to Dornelas . The municipality occupies third place in its district ( Município ) in terms of area (23.7 km²) and the number of its 690 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011 ). Dornelas lies in its southwest and borders in the north on Cortiçada , in the east on Penaverde and in the south on Forninhos. In the southwest, the municipality borders on the district of Penalva do Castelo and in the northwest on the district of Sátão .

Economically , the Dornelas community is mainly characterized by agriculture , animal husbandry , forestry , food production, wood production and health care .
