Dorothea Carl

Dorothea "Doro" Carl (* 1962 in Münster ) is a German filmmaker and artist who lives in Hamburg .

Career

Dorothea Carl studied visual communication at the University of Fine Arts in Hamburg. She works as a freelance camerawoman and editor .

Her screenplay for Brigitte Kugler was funded in 1994 by the Saxon State Ministry for Science and Art. In 1997 she was awarded the Hamburg Fine Arts work grant. Further funding and awards followed: The Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein Film Funds have so far supported the productions Bodenerhebungen , persona non data , short future , demo_lition and between worlds . The Schleswig-Holstein cultural film subsidy funded the intermission music project . The cultural authority of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg provided funds for cathedral women , apart and transit exile , and the Hamburg Cultural Foundation sponsored the Indian study and From the diaries of the BK .

Carl has also been teaching at the KurzFilmSchule in Hamburg since 2006 . She is a member of the Abbildungszentrum and ProQuote director .
