Dorothea Greiner

Dorothea Greiner (born March 21, 1959 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German Protestant theologian and incumbent regional bishop of the Bayreuth church district .

Life

Greiner studied Protestant theology in Neuendettelsau , Tübingen , Basel and Erlangen from 1979 to 1985 . In 1988 she was ordained pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria . After two years of parish activity in Pfuhl , she worked as a student assistant at the Bayreuth seminary until 1993 . Between 1993 and 1996 she wrote her doctoral thesis in systematic theology . She has been senior church councilor since 1999 and regional bishop for the Bayreuth church district since April 1, 2009 .
