Dorothea Juliana Wallich

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Dorothea Juliana Wallich also: Dorothea Wallich or DJW , geb. Fischer (* 1657 in Weimar , † 1725 in Arnstadt ) was a Thuringian alchemist and is one of the few women who are known as alchemists. She wrote three alchemical books that were published in 1705 and 1706. Karl Christoph Schmieder assumed the possibility that she would only have published her father's manuscripts; but he also considered her authorship possible.
