František Douda
František Douda (born October 23, 1908 in Lhota Samoty , † January 15, 1989 in Prague ) was a Czech athlete who was successful in the shot put in the 1930s. He hit a world record and won two bronze medals. He also appeared as a discus thrower, albeit with moderate success.
He was 1.91 m tall and weighed 96 kg when he was active.

- Olympic Summer Games 1932 : Bronze in the shot put with 15.61 m behind the Americans Leo Sexton with 16.00 m and Harlow Rothert with 15.67 m, 15th in the discus throw
- Prague , September 24, 1932: World record with 16.20 m (improvement of the previous record of Leo Sexton (USA) by 4 cm, improved in 1934 by Jack Torrance (USA))
- European Athletics Championships 1934 : bronze in the shot put with 15.19 m behind the Estonian Arnold Viiding and the Finn Risto Kuntsi , both also with 15.19 m
- Olympic Summer Games 1936 : Seventh in the shot put with 15.28 m
