Harlow Rothert
Harlow Rothert ( Harlow Phelps Rothert ; born April 1, 1908 in Carthage , Missouri , † August 13, 1997 in Menlo Park ) was an American shot putter .
From 1928 to 1930, starting for Stanford University , he won the NCAA championship three times in a row .
At the Olympic Games in Amsterdam in 1928 he was seventh. Four years later he won the silver medal at the Games in Los Angeles with 15.675 m behind his compatriot Leo Sexton (16.005 m) and in front of František Douda from Czechoslovakia (15.61 m).
He set his personal best of 15.88 m on May 30, 1930 in Cambridge .
