Doug Dillard
Douglas Flint "Doug" Dillard (born March 6, 1937 in Salem , Missouri , † May 16, 2012 in Nashville ) was an American country and bluegrass musician and banjo player.
From 1956 to 1959 he played with his brother Rodney Dillard in the youth band Ozark Mountain Boys , from which the group The Dillards emerged in 1962 .
After the first three albums he left the group, toured with the Byrds , composed music for films, worked on several albums with Gene Clark as Dillard & Clark and created two albums with John Hartford .
