Douglas Chirambo (born April 22, 1990 in Lilongwe , † April 5, 2015 in Blantyre ) was a Malawian football player.

Career

society

Chirambo began his career at Dwanga Sugar Corporation FC (DWASCO), based in Nchalo, Thyolo District , before signing with the Big Bullets in 2008. He played for the Blantyre club until his death in April 2015.

National team

Chirambo played nine international matches for his home country Malawi from 2008 to 2014.

death

Chirambo died on April 5, 2015 at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in Blantyre after battling a brain tumor for a year . The next day, the central memorial service of his team Big Bullets FC took place at the Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre . Chirambo was buried on April 7, 2015 in Jodi Village in Rumphi District .
