The Downer Glacier is a 26 km long glacier in the East Antarctic Kempland . It flows in an easterly direction to the Edward VIII Ice Shelf , which it reaches immediately north of the Wilma Glacier .

A sled team around the Australian geodesist and cartographer Robert George Dovers (1921-1981) mapped him in 1954 as part of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions . Aerial photos were taken in 1956. The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia (ANCA) named the glacier after Graham Kent Downer (* 1921) of the Royal Australian Air Force , equipment and electrical mechanic at Mawson Station in 1958.
