The Doyle Point (originally Stuart Doyle Point ) is a headland on the coast of the East Antarctic Enderbylands . It lies between Cape Batterbee and Cape Borley .
Participants of the British Australian and New Zealand Antarctic Research Expedition (1929-1931) under the direction of the Australian polar explorer Douglas Mawson discovered them on January 12, 1930. Mawson named them after the Australian film producer Stuart Frank Doyle (1887-1945), the cameraman Frank Hurley had assisted in editing the footage produced during this research trip. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names shortened Mawson's original name in 1947 to the form it is today.
