Draga Olteanu Matei (born October 24, 1933 in Bucharest ) is a Romanian actress .

Life

Draga Olteanu Matei spent most of her childhood in Piatra Neamț and in 1956 graduated from the National University of Theater and Film Arts "Ion Luca Caragiale" in Bucharest. In the same year she made her debut in a drama by Alexandru Mirodan on the theater stage. Later she was able to establish herself as a stage actress and starred in several plays by well-known dramatists. At the same time, she began to appear regularly in Romanian films from the early 1960s, including in A Smile in Summer , Who is the Billionaire? and ID card for Bucharest could be seen. After she had to leave her apartment in Bucharest due to the new owner's personal needs , she settled again in Piatra Neamț in 2006, where she founded the first private amateur theater in Romania.
