Dragan Bogavac [ ˈbɔɡaʋats ] (born April 7, 1980 in Bijelo Polje ) is a Montenegrin football player .

Career

Bogavac began his career at FK Brskovo Mojkovac . In 1999 he moved to FK Rudar Pljevlja , then in January 2002 to FK Red Star Belgrade . With a Red Star, he became Serbian champion and cup winner in 2004 and took part in the 2003/04 UEFA Cup . In the summer of 2005, the then second division Wacker Burghausen signed him to replace Stefan Reisinger, who had switched to TSV 1860 Munich . For the 2007/08 season he signed a contract with TuS Koblenz . After half a season he went to SC Paderborn 07 within the league , where he stayed until the SCP was relegated. For the seasons 2008/09 and 2009/10 Bogavac signed a free transfer contract with the then second division club 1. FSV Mainz 05 , with whom he was promoted to the Bundesliga in 2009 . On September 12, 2009 Bogavac came to his first appearance in the Bundesliga.

On September 12, 2007 Bogavac made his debut in the game against Sweden in the Montenegrin national football team .

Dragan Bogavac is the cousin of Danko Bošković , who was under contract with SV Wehen Wiesbaden until the end of the 2010/11 season .
