Dragan Travica ( Serbian : Драган Травица; born August 28, 1986 in Zagreb , SFR Yugoslavia ) is an Italian volleyball player .

Career

Dragan Travica is the son of Yugoslav trainer Ljubomir Travica . He began his career in 2000 in the offspring of Sisley Treviso . In 2002/2003 he played for the third division club Sira Falconara before he was signed by the first division club Pallavolo Modena . After a year in the second division at Premier Hotels Crema , he joined the also underclass team Sparkling Milano in 2006 , but with whom he made promotion the following year. On November 11, 2007, the setter made his debut in the Italian national team . In 2008/2009 he was again active in Modena before moving to Acqua Paradiso Monza . In 2011 he reached the final of the European Championship with Italy . He then came to his current club, Lube Macerata . There he won the Italian championship in the first season. In 2012 he won the bronze medal with the national team at the Olympic Games in London . Travica moved to the Russian club VK Lokomotiv-Belogorje for the 2013/14 season and won the Champions League with the team .
