Trinity Church (Hunteburg)
The Trinity Church in the Bohmter village of Hunteburg is the parish church of the Catholic parish of the Holy Trinity, which belongs to the Osnabrück-Nord deanery of the Osnabrück diocese .
Building history and description
The church was built from 1660 to 1668 as a rectangular hall building made of quarry stone and plastered . Inside there is a wooden ceiling in the form of a flat mirror vault . The windows are arched . Above the western gable is a roof turret with a four-sided, pointed helmet . The two bells are attached to the outside under canopies. Two sacristies were built on the east side .
From 1946 to 1950 a larger extension was built across to the north, the porch of which is now the old church.
Interior
The oldest work of art in the church is a wooden crucifix from the 12th century. A stone figure of Maria Magdalena was made around 1520 in the workshop of the master from Osnabrück . A wooden Vesper picture , altar and pulpit date from the 18th century. A chandelier made of brass is dated 1687th
