The church

The Trinity Church Hainchen is located in the district of the town of Schkölen in the Saale-Holzland district in Thuringia .

location

The Protestant church with a church is located in the center of town.

history

The church was built in 1659 by master mason Nicol Rothe from Eisenberg . The manor owner Dietrich von Atzendorf was the patron of the church. In the church there are epitaphs of the family and their successors. The church tower is a roof turret .

inner space

The interior has three-sided two-storey galleries . They were also intended for the parishioners of Kämmeritz . The boards and beams of the ceiling and the baptismal font are ornamented. In 1830 the pulpit altar was built on the south side of the choir .

organ

The organ was created by Carl-Friedrich and August Peternell from Seligenthal near Schmalkalden in 1861 .

Bells

The church had two bells . The one from 1796 was melted down during World War II . The other bell from 1400 still exists and is considered the oldest in the state of Thuringia .
