description

The former residential stable house on the left, along with the fence and the gate system as well as the side building on the right ( pull-out house ) and the barn behind it, is listed as a historical monument . The two-storey stable house, like its neighboring houses and also the pull-out house, stands at the gable facing the Anger, on the left side at the property boundary of a narrow, long property. The tile-covered gable roof protruding towards the courtyard covers an upper floor, which shows exposed half-timbering on the gable side and towards the courtyard , which had previously been plastered over for a long time; the ground floor is massive and plastered.

On the right is the much smaller and narrower pull-out house. For a long time there were wine trellises on both residential buildings.

Behind it there is a barn with a gable roof and a passage across the entire width of the farm. This building was rebuilt together with the barn of the left neighbor after a fire in 1890.

At the front facing the street, the three-sided courtyard is closed off by a gate system made of sturdy pillars, with a wooden gate in between. Cover plates lie on the pillars.

history

Altzitzschewig 8: inscription panel from 1836

The previous building of today's house burned down in 1836 and was then rebuilt. There is a corresponding inscription plaque on the building which, in addition to the date, also reveals the name of the owner at the time:

"Burned down in the year 1836,
let us
strive God-fearing, thrifty, hardworking, honestly aiming in our profession!
For salvation Christ builds us step on step
J. L. glasses "

In November 1890 the former barn burned down and the following month it was rebuilt for the owner Friedrich August Trache, in line with the neighboring barn (No. 7) . Design and construction were carried out by Moritz Große ; At the same time, Große rebuilt some barns that had been destroyed by fire in neighboring Naundorf (Altnaundorf 6 and neighboring properties).

In 1919 the house owner Oskar Hermann Voigt had the side building converted into an apartment building. The builder Alfred Große was responsible .

The client was honored for the renovation of the Altzitzschewig 7/8 property on the occasion of the Radebeul Building Owner Award 2001 with recognition in the category of monument renovation .
