Drop Hammer was an American thrash metal band from Muskegon , Michigan that formed in 1989 and split in 1993.

history

The band was formed in 1989 from the disbanded heavy metal band Steel Vengeance . Singer Scott Carlson, guitarist Tracy Kerbuski and drummer Tom Vallejo previously worked for Steel Vengeance. Bassist Bruce Danz joined them. Together they developed the first songs and released the demo Stimulation of Your Nerves that same year . This caught the attention of Red Decibel Records , who signed the band. They released their first and only album with the label in 1991. The release was delayed due to problems in the distribution on the part of Red Decibel. With the help of Metal Blade Records and Warner Music Group , the album was then released. A music video for Mind and Body was also released with the help of Warner. Due to the decreasing interest in Thrash Metal in the early 1990s and the lack of support from the label, the band broke up in 1993.
