The leaves are pressed flat against the ground, the petioles are smooth on the top, sparsely covered with simple, white hairs on the underside, narrow, inverted-lanceolate, 15 to 30 millimeters long, 0.9 to 1 millimeters wide at the base, 1 , 5 to 2.2 millimeters wide in the middle and tapers to 0.7 to 1 millimeter wide at the base of the blade . The transverse broad-elliptic to ovate very broad-leaf spreading are 4 to 6 millimeters in length, 5.5 to 7 mm wide, its upper surface is open at the edge with a little longer, centrally shorter fishing tentacles, the underside is hairy fine white.

The one to three inflorescence axes , sparsely covered with white hairs, are 12.5 to 20 centimeters long and carry 10 to 20 or more flowers in a cluster , the flower stalks are 3 to 12 millimeters long and stand upright at maturity. The sepals are inverted ovate, 2 to 3 millimeters long and 1 to 1.7 millimeters wide. The petals are white, with a pronounced central rib, inversely ovate and 5.5 to 6.5 millimeters long and 3 to 4 millimeters wide.

The stamens are 2 to 3.5 mm long. The ovary is twisted, 0.7 to 1 millimeter long, 1 to 1.4 millimeters in diameter at flowering time and with three two-lobed carpels . The three or four styluses are 0.3 to 0.5 millimeters long in the lower part and compressed at the sides, then often forked into 1.5 to 2.5 millimeters long, flattened sections that end in the scars.

Distribution and location

Home Drosera Kenneallyi the Mitchell Plateau to the Mitchell Falls in the far north of Australia , where it grows on fine, sandy loam and laterite under swampy conditions, temporarily flooded. However, by raising and lowering the leaves, it avoids submersion. Sometimes it occurs with Eucalyptus latifolia and Melaleuca leucadendron .

Systematics

The closest related species is Drosera falconeri , from which it is distinguished by the shape of the leaf blades. The species epithet honors Kevin Kenneally , who made the first collections of the species in 1982. The species belongs to the so-called "Petiolaris complex", which forms the Lasiocephala section of the genus.
