The Jebel ad-Duchan ( Arabic جبل الدخان, DMG Ǧabal ad-Duḫān  'Rauchberg', English Jabal ad Dukhan ) is at 135 meters the highest mountain on the main island of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Bahrain , which consists of 32 other islands and is located in a bay in the Persian Gulf . It rises in the center of the main island, which is a limestone plateau , in the middle of the sand dunes that predominate there .
