Jabrail Kostoyev (* unknown; † May 17, 2006 at Nazran ) was Deputy Minister of the Interior of Ingushetia , a republic of the Russian Federation , and Police Chief of Nazran.
Kostoyev was on his way to work when suddenly a car blocked his way, which immediately exploded and threw Kostoyev's car about 20 meters away. Two bodyguards and four construction workers were also killed in the alleged attack.
Kostoyev, who was also Nazran police chief, has been the target of attacks several times. He was most recently injured when a mine was detonated remotely when his car drove past in August. His office and home were also attacked several times in the past year.
That in Chechnya bordering Ingushetia, like other Russian North Caucasus republics also repeatedly been the target of attacks and attacks by militant groups.
