You and You is a waltz of Johann Strauss II (op. 367) is attributed. According to other information and recent research, it most likely comes from Eduard Strauss . The work was composed in 1874 and premiered on August 2, 1874 in Schwenders Neue Welt in Hitzing.

Remarks

The composer has put the work together based on motifs from the operetta Die Fledermaus . It thus joins a series of compositions (opus numbers 362 , 363 , 365 , 366 , and 368 ) that take up all the themes from this operetta. The playing time is about 7 minutes and 40 seconds plus or minus a few seconds, depending on the musical understanding of the respective conductor. The main themes of the waltz include: a. the waltz from the overture, which is repeated in the 2nd finale of the operetta, parts of the songs Mein Herr Marquis and the eponymous number Du und Du (little brother and sister) from the 2nd act of the bat.

According to the latest research, this waltz was compiled by Eduard Strauss based on motifs from the operetta Die Fledermaus and published under the name of his brother Johann.
