Dudley Lincoln Steinwall , partly also Duddley Steinwall , (born November 9, 1974 ) is a Sri Lankan football player .
society
Steinwall, who is considered an uncompromising central defender , has already played for the clubs Renown SC and Ratnam SC . He was also in 2005 in the ranks of the Blue Star SC , with which he participated in the AFC Presidents Cup . After a second place in the group stage in the semi-finals, his club lost 6-0 to Regar-TadAZ Tursunzade . Steinwall scored three goals in the course of the tournament and was the most successful goalscorer of his team. He has been under contract with Negombo Youth since 2009 .
National team
He is also a member of the Sri Lankan national soccer team . With this he took part in January 2003 as captain of the team trained by the Brazilian Marcus Fereira in the SAFF Championship 2003 in Bangladesh. In the only victory of his team, eliminated in the group stage, against the national team of Afghanistan , he scored the 1-0 winner. As captain, he also led the national team, which was coached by former Fereiras assistant, Sampath Perera , at the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Championship, called the 2005 South Asian Football Federation (SAFF), which was held in Karachi from December 7 to 17, 2005 . He was part of the runner-up selection in his home country at the 2006 AFC Challenge Cup . Also that year he was captain of the Sri Lankan national team. In the 2009 South Asian Cup in Bangladesh, in which the Sri Lankan national team failed in the semi-finals 5-1 to the Maldives, he also participated as a Sri Lankan squad member and was deployed.
