duesenjaeger is a punk rock band from Osnabrück and Münster , which was founded on New Year's Eve 1999/2000 in Osnabrück.
style
The band is considered to be formative for a certain sound in the German-speaking punk area: melancholy, but always driving, angry, but not slogan-like, the lyrics are often formulated in abstract, but sometimes very simple and apt. The two pillars of music are fundamental drama or lethargy on the one hand and defiance and the will to continue and change on the other. Although the band is hardly present in relation to comparable groups, it is regularly mentioned as a reference in relevant mail orders such as Flight 13 or Green Hell to describe this style of music, which is "rooted in the 80s guitar underground of German and American (post) punk variety" is. The band broke up in August 2008. Since December 2010 the band has been rehearsing with the old line-up, giving concerts again and in 2012 released the album Leben liebe die . In 2014 a 7 "split with Oiro followed . In June 2016 the album Treibsand was released , which was recorded in the Tonmeisterei in Oldenburg.
