Duhnemühle

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Duhnemühle is a water mill in Negenborn in the Holzminden district in Lower Saxony .

In the High Middle Ages, the property was owned by the Counts of Everstein and then fell to the Amelungsborn Monastery . The mill was later destroyed but rebuilt in the 18th century. The roof is covered with Solling panels. The name comes from the desolate neighboring town of Dune. Above the door is the coat of arms C of the former Brunswick owner.

The mill hit the headlines in 1906 when the flour was contaminated with lead after improper millstone repair.

The mill is a listed building and is located on the Lower Saxony Mühlenstrasse .
