Duke Ragan

Duke Ragan (* 18th September 1997 in Linn , Ohio ) is an American amateur boxer in the bantamweight .

Career

The 1.68 m tall left boom began boxing in 2006. In 2016, Ragan became, among other things, both American champion and Golden Gloves winner . At the US Championships he defeated Gabriel Quijada on points, Edward Richardson by technical knockout in round 1 and Kevin Montano, Victor Bravo and Shon Mondragon each on points. At the Golden Gloves tournament he won over Cody Sullivan by TKo in the 3rd round and against Kyree Lyons, Mathias Radcliffe, Dominique Crowder and Victor Morales Jr on points.

In 2017 he won the chemistry cup in Germany with victories against Dominik Hirsch, David Segundo Padilla, Qairat Jeralijew and Wasilij Wetkin. At the Pan American Championships in 2017 in Honduras , he won a bronze medal after losing to Javier Ibáñez in the semi-final and qualified for the 2017 World Championships in Hamburg . There he reached the final against Javier Ibáñez, Lee McGregor, Zhang Jiawei and Gaurav Bidhuri , in which he was defeated against Qairat Jeralijew.
