Pan American Boxing Championships 2017
The 12th AIBA Pan American Elite Boxing Championships 2017 were held from June 10th to 18th in Tegucigalpa , the capital of Honduras . The Central American country was the first venue for Pan-American boxing competitions. 131 male and 59 female boxers from 23 nations were entered. For men, 60 places were also awarded to participate in the 2017 World Championships in Hamburg .

Box offs
In addition to the 40 male medal winners in the final and semi-finals, two out of four boxers eliminated in the quarter-finals in each weight class were given the opportunity to qualify for the 2017 World Championships in Hamburg . For this purpose, two fights per weight class will be held among the eliminated quarter-finalists.
