Albert Ramírez

Albert Ramirez (* 7. May 1992 in Mérida , Venezuela , as Albert Ramírez Durán ) is a Venezuelan amateur boxer in light heavyweight . He is trained by Julio Hernandez .

Career

The 1.81 m tall left-hand boom , which is best known for its speed, boxes in the World Series of Boxing (WSB for short).

In 2015 Ramirez Duran qualified at the American Boxing Confederation (AMBC) qualifying tournament for the Olympic Games , which will take place in Rio de Janeiro in 2016 from August 5th to 21st. There he defeated the three-time Cuban world champion and two-time Pan America winner Julio César La Cruz with 3-0 judges votes in the quarter- finals, the Argentine Marcos Escudero in the semifinals and the American Steve Nelson with 3-0 judges votes in the final (all three too WSB boxer).
