Troy Isley (* 5. September 1998 in Washington ) is an American boxer in the middleweight division .

Career

Troy Isley attended TC Williams High School in Alexandria , Virginia , and began boxing at the Alexandria Boxing Club when he was ten. He is around 1.78 m tall and left-hand boom .

His first successes were winning the national championship of the Police Athletic League (PAL) in 2011 and 2012, as well as in the juniors in 2013. In 2014, he won the US Junior Championships and the Ringside Tournament. The Golden Gloves in 2016 he won the silver medal and the US Championships in 2016 and 2017, the gold medal.

At the Chemistry Cup 2017 in Germany he was eliminated with a bronze medal in the semifinals and started at the Pan American Championships 2017 in Honduras , where he was defeated in the quarterfinals against the world and Olympic champion Arlen López . As the winner of the box-off fight against Hebert Conceição , he qualified for the 2017 World Championships in Hamburg . There he came against Wilfried Ntsengue , Hosam Bakr Abdin and Isroil Madrimov in the semifinals, where he was eliminated with a bronze medal against the European champion Oleksandr Chysnjak .

In 2018 he became US runner-up and won a bronze medal at the Pan American Games in Peru in 2019 .
