Isroil Madrimov even Israil Madrimov (* 16th February 1995 in Khiva , Uzbekistan ) is an Uzbek professional boxer in the light middleweight .
Amateur career
Isroil Madrimov won the lightweight silver medal at the Junior World Championships in 2011 and the welterweight silver medal at the Asian Youth Championships in 2013.
At the Asian Games in 2014 he again won the silver medal in the welterweight division after losing to Danijar Jeleussinow in the final. In 2017 he won the middleweight gold medal at the Asian Championships after defeating Eumir Marcial and Äbilchan Amanqul , among others . He was qualified for the 2017 World Championships, where he was eliminated in the quarterfinals with 2: 3 against Troy Isley .
At the Asian Games in 2018 he again won the gold medal in the middleweight division, where he again beat Eumir Marcial and Äbilchan Amanqul.
In addition, he won international tournaments in India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Russia and Thailand and started in 2017 and 2018 for the Uzbek Tigers in the World Series of Boxing , where he won five out of six fights. He also twice defeated the world and Olympic champion Arlen López .
Professional career
Isroil Madrimov signed a professional contract with Andrey Ryabinsky's promotion company World of Boxing on November 9, 2018 , his manager became Vadim Kornilov. His trainers are Tulkin Kilichev, Joel Díaz and Tony Díaz. In March 2019, he also signed a co-promotion deal with Matchroom Boxing USA .
He won his professional debut on November 24, 2018 in Atlantic City , USA , by TKO in the sixth round against Vladimir Hernández (balance: 10-2, 6 Ko). In his second fight in March 2019, he defeated Frank Rojas (24-2, 23 Ko) by knockout in the second round and thus became WBA Inter-Continental Champion . He defended the title in October 2019 through TKO against the Mexican Alejandro Barrera (29-5, 18 Ko).
In February 2020 he defeated Charlie Navarro (29-9, 22 Ko) by TKO in the sixth round. In August of the same year he also beat Eric Walker (20-2, 9 Ko) unanimously on points.
