Asian Boxing Championships 2017
The 29th AIBA Asian Boxing Championships 2017 took place from April 30th to May 7th and were held in the Uzbekistan Sport Complex in the Uzbek capital Tashkent . After 1995 and 1999, the city hosted the Asian Boxing Championships for the third time. 179 fighters from 28 nations were registered. A total of 60 places were awarded for participation in the 2017 World Championships .
The most successful nation was host Uzbekistan , whose boxers won nine out of ten gold medals.

Box offs
In addition to the 40 medal winners in the final and semi-finals, two other boxers in each weight class were given the opportunity to qualify for the 2017 World Championships in Hamburg . Two boxers eliminated in the quarterfinals competed against each other.
