Shaxram G'iyosov even Shahram Giyasov and Shakhram Giyasov (* 7. July 1993 in Bukhara ), is an Uzbek professional boxer in the Light Welterweight .

Amateur career

Gʻiyosov won the World University Championships and the World Cup of Oil Producing States in Russia in 2014 in light welterweight (-64 kg) . His defeated opponents included top talents such as Collazo Sotomayor and Urantschimegiin Mönch-Erdene .

In April 2016 he won the Asian Olympic qualification in China in welterweight , defeating Sailom Adi in the final fight . He then started at the 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil , where he defeated Youba Sissokho (3: 0), Eimantas Stanionis (3: 0), Roniel Iglesias (3: 0) and Mohammed Rabii (3: 0) and made it to the final . There he was defeated by Danijar Jeleussinow .

In 2017 he won the Asian Championships in Tashkent and the World Championships in Hamburg . He beat Pat McCormack , Abylaichan Schüssipow and Roniel Iglesias , among others .

Professional career

He made his professional debut on March 10, 2018 in Brooklyn . He is under contract with Andrey Ryabinsky's promotion company World of Boxing . In August 2018 he won by knockout in the third round against the experienced Albert Mensah (31-6) and in September 2018 by TKO in the fourth round against Julio Laguna (14-0).

In August 2019 he defeated Darleys Pérez (34-4) by TKO and became WBA International Champion .
