Valery Alexandrowitsch Ratschkow , Kazakh; Валерий Александрович Рачков (born April 24, 1956 in Alma-Ata ) is a former Soviet welterweight amateur boxer of Kazakh nationality .
successes
He won the USSR championships in 1976, 1977 and 1978 and took part in the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal , where he was eliminated in the third fight against Jochen Bachfeld .
In 1978 he won the world championships in 1978 in Belgrade , having among other Jochen Bachfeld and Miodrag Perunović defeated. He also became the first Kazakh boxing world champion.
