Abylaichan Shuissipov

Abylaichan Qairatuly Schüssipow ( Kazakh Абылайхан Қайратұлы Жүсіпов ; Russian Аблайхан Кайратович Жусупов Ablaichan Kairatowitsch Schussupow ; English Ablaikhan Zhussupov * 10. January 1997 in Abai , Kazakhstan ) is a Kazakh amateur boxer in the welterweight division .

Career

In 2017, Shüssipov took part in the Asian Championships , which were held in Tashkent from April 30th to May 7th, and won the silver medal there .

With that he qualified for the World Championships in Hamburg in the summer of the same year . There he defeated Walid Sedik Mohamed and Gabriel Maestre in the quarterfinals, each on points. In the semifinals, he lost to the Uzbek Shaxram Gʻiyosov and won a bronze medal. He won another bronze medal at the 2019 World Championships when he lost to Andrei Samkovoi in the semi-finals .
