Iqboljon Xoldorov ( English Ikboljon Kholdarov * 1997 in Uzbekistan ) is an Uzbek amateur boxer in the Light Welterweight .

Career

In 2017 he became Asian champion in Tashkent , where he defeated Ashish on points, Pan Hung-Min by classic knockout in the 2nd round and Begdaulet Ibragimov and Battarsukh Chinzorig each on points.

This qualified him for the world championships taking place in Hamburg in the same year . There he defeated Jhon Gutierrez from Colombia in his first fight with 5-0 judges' votes on points. In the quarter-finals, Xoldorov met the German-Armenian Artem Harutiunian , who was considered the top favorite. However, the Uzbek surprised and won this battle with 3: 2 judges' votes. Overall, Xoldorov was more active and scored more hits in this fight; in addition, he hit Harutiunian once to the ground with his hitting hand. In the semifinals, Xoldorov fought against the American Freudis Rojas and won clearly on points. In the final he was defeated by Andy Cruz Gómez .
