Freudis Rojas Jr. (* 13 August 1998 in Las Vegas , Nevada ) is an American boxer in the Light Welterweight .
Career
The 1.82 m tall southpaw began boxing in 2009. He won a bronze medal each at the US Junior Championships in 2014, at the US Youth Championships in 2016 and the National Golden Gloves in 2016. At the US Championships in 2016, he won the gold medal.
At the Chemical Cup 2017 he was eliminated in the final against Vitali Dunaizew and started at the Pan American Championships 2017 in Honduras , where he won a bronze medal after losing to Andy Cruz Gómez in the semi-final . He was thus qualified for the 2017 World Championships in Hamburg , where he also won bronze. This time he had defeated Vitaly Dunaizew in the round of 16 and Eslam Aly in the quarter-finals, before being eliminated in the semifinals against Iqboljon Xoldorov .
In 2018 he won the US championships.
