Pan American championships in boxing
The Pan American Boxing Championships have been held on the American continent at irregular intervals since 1990. Boxing was carried out in 12 weight classes up to 2001 and in 11 weight classes from 2005 to 2010 under the rules of the AIBA . Boxing has been in 10 weight classes since 2013. These are the most important American boxing competitions alongside the Pan American Games .
The continental counterparts are the European , African and Asian championships .
