Michel de Souza Borges (* 16th June 1991 in Rio de Janeiro , Brazil ) is a Brazilian amateur boxer in light heavyweight .
Career
Michel Borges is the 2011, 2014, 2017 and 2018 Brazilian light heavyweight champion, gold medalist at the 2014 South American Games , and bronze medalist at the 2013 and 2017 Pan American Championships .
He is also the last sixteen of the 2015 Pan American Championship and the 2017 World Cup , as well as the quarter-finalist of the 2015 Pan American Games .
At the 2016 Olympics he defeated Hassan N'Jikam and Hrvoje Sep before being eliminated in the quarter-finals against Julio La Cruz .
