The canton of Épinal-2 is a French constituency in the Arrondissement Épinal , in the Département Vosges and in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ); its capital is Épinal .

history

The canton was created when the French cantons were redistributed in 2015. Its communities come from the former canton of Épinal-Est and the districts of the city of Épinal on the right bank of the Moselle .

The canton is located in the center of the Vosges department.

In the first ballot on March 22, 2015, none of the four voting pairs achieved an absolute majority. In the runoff election on March 29, 2015, the team Régine Begel / Benoît Jourdain (both UMP) won against François-Xavier Huguenot / Marylène Mordasini (both DVG ) with a share of the vote of 57.71% (turnout: 45.22%).
