The canton of Saint-Dié-des-Vosges-1 is a French canton in the arrondissements of Épinal and Saint-Dié-des-Vosges , in the Vosges department and in the Grand Est region (previously Lorraine ); its main town is Saint-Dié-des-Vosges .
history
The canton was created when the French cantons were redistributed in 2015. Its communes come from the former cantons of Rambervillers (5 of the 29 communes), Saint-Dié-des-Vosges-Ouest (all 5 communes) and western districts of the city of Saint-Dié -des-Vosges.

The canton is located in the northeast of the Vosges department.

In the first ballot on March 22, 2015, none of the five voting pairs achieved an absolute majority. In the runoff election on March 29, 2015, Martine Gimmillaro / William Mathis (both DVDs) won against Alain Dumet / Françoise Hennequin (both FN ) with a share of the vote of 64.62% (turnout: 47.83%).
