Taintrux is a French commune with 1,543 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Vosges department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Dié-des-Vosges and the canton of Saint-Dié-des-Vosges-1 (until 2015: canton of Saint-Dié-des-Vosges-Ouest ). The inhabitants are called Taintrusia .
geography
Taintrux is located about 71 kilometers southwest of Strasbourg in the Vosges Mountains . Taintrux is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Dié-des-Vosges in the north and north-east, Saulcy-sur-Meurthe in the east, Saint-Léonard in the south and south-east, La Houssière in the south and south-west, Bois-de-Champ in the west and Les Rouges-Eaux and Mortagne to the northwest.
