Pair-et-Grandrupt (1801 still with the spelling Le Paire et Grand-Rupt ) is a French commune with 511 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Vosges department in the Grand Est region . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Saint-Dié-des-Vosges and the municipality of Saint-Dié-des-Vosges .
geography
The municipality is located about six kilometers east of Saint-Dié-des-Vosges in the Vosges . Neighboring communities are Nayemont-les-Fosses in the north-west and north, Neuvillers-sur-Fave in the east, Raves in the south-east, Remomeix in the south and Sainte-Marguerite in the south-west. The Fave flows through the south of the municipality of Pair-et-Grandrupt . The community consists of the villages Pair at 380 m on the mountain stream Ruisseau de Pair , Grandrupt (415 m) above the Ruisseau de l'Aunaie and Vanifosse (366 m) on the Fave as well as several hamlets and individual farms. The wooded terrain rises to the north and in the north it reaches the southern foot of the Ormont massif, the summit of which at 874 m is one of the highest west of the Vosges ridge.

In the community there are neither churches nor chapels, nor any monuments, but a few crossroads and fountains.
Economy and Infrastructure
There are three farms in the municipality (including horse breeding).
Pair-et-Grandrupt is connected to its neighboring communities by back roads. Six kilometers to the west is the city of Saint-Dié-des-Vosges as a transport hub .
