Oscar Manuel Collazo (* 15. January 1997 in Villalba , Puerto Rico ) is a Puerto Rican boxer in the flyweight .

Career

Oscar Collazo won a bronze medal at the Pan American Championships in Honduras in 2017 when he was only eliminated in the semifinals against Joahnys Argilagos . With this success he was qualified for the 2017 World Championships in Germany , where he defeated Jauheni Karmiltschik in the preliminary round , but was knocked out again by Argilagos in the round of 16 just 3-2.

In April 2019, he fought his way to the qualifying tournament in Nicaragua for the Pan American Games 2019 in Peru . There he beat Luis Delgado from Ecuador, Damián Arce from Cuba and Yuberjen Martínez from Colombia, won the gold medal and became the first Puerto Rican Pan American boxing game winner since McWilliams Arroyo , who won flyweight gold in 2007.
