Duke Riley (* 9. August 1994 in Buras , Louisiana ) is an American American football player at the position of the linebackers . He plays for the Philadelphia Eagles in the National Football League (NFL).
Early years
Riley attended high school in River Ridge , Louisiana . He later attended Louisiana State University . After serving as a backup here on the college football team for three years , he was named a starter in his position in 2016 and was directly elected team MVP .
NFL
Riley was selected 75th by the Atlanta Falcons in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft . On May 11, 2017, he signed a four-year contract with the Falcons. He played his first game of the season on the first day of play against the Chicago Bears (final score 24:17) from the start. After the tenth day of the season, he missed four games due to a torn meniscus .
On September 30, 2019, the Falcons submitted Riley as well as a six-round pick in the 2020 draft for the Safety Johnathan Cyprien and a seven-round pick for the Philadelphia Eagles .
