Dummy Ache is a 1936 American comedy short film directed by Leslie Goodwins .
action
Edgar becomes suspicious when his wife Florence behaves suspiciously around the house and sneaks around. He doesn't know that she is rehearsing for a play. A little later he secretly watches a rehearsal. In one scene of the play, Florence and her stage partner George Lewis kill their unloved husband. The “corpse”, in reality just a doll, is hidden in a laundry basket. To protect his wife from being persecuted by the police, Edgar steals the body and laundry basket. While he is walking home with the basket on a main street in his city, the running movement slowly pushes the deceptively real doll's hand through a hole in the basket, which in the end draws all attention to Edgar.
production
