The Dungane (Norwegian for Halden ) are two mountains up to 2,870 m high in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . They tower 15 km west of Dufekfjellet in the Sør Rondane mountains .
Norwegian cartographers, who also used the descriptive naming, mapped it in 1957 using aerial photographs taken during Operation Highjump (1946–1947) carried out by the United States Navy .
