Boris Karadimchev

Boris Klimentow Karadimtschew ( Bulgarian Борис Климентов Карадимчев , born March 30, 1933 in Yambol , Bulgaria , † April 12, 2014 in Plovdiv ) was a Bulgarian composer and songwriter .

Life

Boris Klimentow Karadimchev was the grandson of Dimitri Karadimchev, the former mayor of Ohrid . Since his father was a military pilot, Boris Karadimchev was born while he was stationed in Yambol. He later studied music for three years with Pancho Vladigerov at the State Conservatory in Sofia. He was then able to establish himself as a songwriter of over 300 popular Bulgarian songs and composer of over 40 film scores, including Reise im Zorn , Tsar Wedding in Tarnowo and A Dog in a Drawer . In addition to his work as director of the children's choir Pim-Pam , Karadimtschew was later employed as a lecturer at his old conservatory.
