history

An early mention under the name 'In den Hürnen' can be found in 1677, at that time an estate of 6 hectares and 32.58 ares is mentioned, it probably originally belonged to the Saurenhaus estate and was created before 1677 as its split . In 1830 there is a mention of 7 hectares and 92.24 ares.

The farm is listed as Schlüpershüsg on the Topographia Ducatus Montani by Erich Philipp Ploennies from 1715. On the topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824, the location is labeled with Schliepershausgen .

The town and community boundary between the town of Elberfeld and the community of Sonnborn, which had split off from the mayor's office in Haan in 1867 and became an independent mayor, ran through Schliepershäuschen until 1888 . In 1888, Sonnborn was renamed the municipality of Vohwinkel by assigning territories, including the western part of Schliepershäuschen to the city of Elberfeld .

In 1832 the eastern part of Schliepershäuschen belonged to the Dorper Rotte of the rural outskirts of the parish and the town of Elberfeld . The place, categorized as a tavern according to the statistics and topography of the Düsseldorf administrative district , was called Am Schliepershäuschen and at that time had a residential building and three agricultural buildings. At that time there were six people living in the village, all of whom were Protestant.

The location is noted in the address book from 1850. A nearby street from Düsseldorfer Straße to Pahlkestraße was named Am Waldfrieden on February 14, 1922 and was renamed Am Schliepershäuschen in 1935.
