The Dunmanus Bay ( Irish Bá Dhun Manais ) is a bay in County Cork , Ireland . It lies between the Mizen Peninsula in the south and Sheep's Head in the north. The village of Durrus is at the end of the bay. Other villages on the bay are Ahakista, Kilcrohane, Dunbeacon, Dunmanus and Goleen.

Dunmanus Bay is out of the tidal stream and there are no significant rivers flowing into it. Shipping traffic within the bay is also low. On the eastern foothills of Dunmanus Bay lie the ruins of Dunmanus Castle, built by the O'Mahony clan . On the cliffs to the south of the northern foothills of the Mizen Peninsula is Dunlough Castle , a former O'Mahony fortress.

The economy on Dunmanus Bay is dominated by fishing, agriculture and tourism.

The Gorteanish stone circle is located at Ahakista Harbor between Durrus and Kilcrohane on the Sheep's Head Peninsula, overlooking Dunmanus Bay.
