The Durostorum Bay (English, Bulgarian залив Дуросторум saliw Durostorum ) is a 6.7 km wide and 3.9 km long bay in the Oscar-II. coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . As a side bay of Exasperation Inlet , it is located southeast of Sandilh Point and northwest of Ranyari Point . It was created as a result of the break-up of the Larsen Ice Shelf in 2002 and the subsequent retreat of the Pequod Glacier .
The bay was surveyed in 2012. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2013 after the Roman camp Durostorum in the area of today's city of Silistra in northeastern Bulgaria .
