The Sandilh Point (English, Bulgarian нос Сандилх nos Sandilch ) is a partially ice-free headland at the Oskar-II. coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . In the Exasperation Inlet , it is located as the eastern branch of the Tepava Ridge 7.5 km southeast of Kalina Point and 6.7 km northwest of Ranyari Point on the northwest side of the entrance to Durostorum Bay . The headland was exposed as a result of the breakup of the Larsen Ice Shelf in 2002 and the subsequent retreat of the Pequod Glacier .
It was mapped in 2012. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2013 after Sandilch , a proto- Bulgarian prince of the 6th century .
